Google Play Store Not Working in Android Reason and Fixes (Introduction)

You are having a problem with Google Play Store Not working, Right? Well, there are a few ways to fix Play Store Error or not working problem. There is no need to worry.
If you are having an issue with Google Play Services as well then I will make another article on it. I will issue every problem and how to fix them.
So I will divide the Google Play Store problem into three categories likewise:

Reasons for Google Play Store Not Working in Android:

• Your Android Google Play Services might not be up to date.
• Your Android Google Play Store might not be up to date.
• You haven’t been updating hour Apps very often.
• You might have a Bug with your Android Software.
• You may be a Custom ROM Vanilla User, and Gapps installed in your Android are not Compatible with NikGapps or BitGapps
• You might have installed the Old version of Gapps in your latest Custom ROM, which may not be compatible.
• You may be using the Canary version of Gapps in your Vanilla Custom ROM.
• Your Phone’s storage is full and doesn’t have room to install or Update Apps.
• You may have installed the Beta version of PlayStore from third-party sources.
These are all the common reasons that you are having Play Store not working problem. Now, it’s time to fix these problems.
How to fix Google Play Store Not Working in Android 12 and previous Android versions – Google Play Store Not working on Mobile Data and Wifi.

1. Google Play Store Not Updating Apps:
If you are having Google PlayStore not updating Apps then you can fix this problem by clearing Data and Cache.

Fix Play Store opening, loading, and downloading issues – Google Support
Try the steps below to fix problems with Google Play. They may help if:
- You can’t download or install apps or games from the Google Play Store
- You can’t download music, movies, TV shows, or other content from Google Play
- The Google Play Store app won’t open or load
- The Google Play Store app crashes after it opens
- Downloads and app updates get stuck and won’t finish
If these steps don’t fix the issue, you should contact the developer for support.
Check that you have a strong Wi-Fi or mobile data connection
First, make sure you have a strong internet connection. It’s best if you can connect to a Wi-Fi network. If you don’t have access to Wi-Fi, make sure you have a strong mobile data connection. Then try your download again.

Clear the cache & data of the Play Store.
It gives the app a fresh start and can help fix issues.
How to Clear Cache in Android Phones from Settings
1. Open your device’s Settings app Settings.
2. Tap Apps & notifications and then See all apps.
3. Scroll down and tap Google Play Store Google Play.
4. Tap Storage and then Clear Cache.
5. Next, tap Clear data.
6. Re-open the Play Store & try your app download again.
Restart your device

If you still can not download after you clear the cache & data of the Play Store, restart your device.
1. Press and hold the Power button until the menu pops up.
2. Tap Power off or Restart if that is an option.
3. If needed, press and hold the Power button until your device turns on again.
Here is the Android Noob method to fix Google Play Store not updating and not loading Apps. How to Update Google Play Services in Android 2021.
If your Google Play Services not working on android then follow the steps below to fix it.
Step 1: Tap and hold on to the Play Store icon on the home screen.
Step 2: Click on the ( i ) button or App info. You will be navigated to Google Play Store App information settings.
Step 3: Inside Google Play Store App information settings, Click on ‘Force Stop’.
Step 4: Then Click on Storage Cache or Storage and Data.
Step 5: Inside Storage and Cache, Tap Clear Cache.
Step 6: Minimize the window and open Google Play Store, and try updating Apps, and it should update. If not, follow the steps below.
Step 7: Again follow Steps from 1 to 4 and then Cleare Data or Manage Data instead of Clear Cache. A confirmation pop-up will appear, then click OK to confirm.
Step 8: Now follow Step 6 and check if it’s working or not. If it’s not working, then follow the steps more.
Step 9: Open Chrome or any Web Browser that you have already.
Step 10: Tap on the Search bar inside Web Browser and type Play Services info Apkmirror, then Go or Enter.
Step 11: Then, Click on the link that refers to the APKMirror website. The link should be on the first. You can also visit this Play Services info APKMirror link to save you some time.
Step 12: From the APKMirror website, download the Play Services info App by Weberdo.
To download, click on the download icon on the latest version, then the next page will open and then scroll down a little, then again click on the download beside the APK information architecture.
Then again, a new page will open. Click on the download button, and your download should get started.
Step 13: Install the Play Services info APK from the Web Browser Downloads page or the File Manager.
Step 14: After installing Play Services info, open it.
Step 15: Inside the Play Services info App, you will see three options. PlayStore, App info, and more.
When you click on More it will tell you details about Play Store and Play Services Apps.
When you click on Play Store, it will take you to Google Play Store and open the Google Play Services App download page.
When you click on App info, it will take you to the Google Play Services App info page in System Settings. You can navigate there and try clearing data by tapping on ‘Clear Data’ inside “Storage Cache” and ‘Force Stop’ the App. ( Optional )
This App job is to add a shortcut to links and navigation.
Step 16: Click on PlayStore inside the Play Services info App, and it will take you to the download page in Play Store.
Step 17: In Play Store, you should now get an option to update the Google Play Services App. Click on ‘Update’ to update the app.
Step 18: After updating the Play Services App, Follow Steps from 1 to 4 and Clear Data of the Play Store inside Storage and Cache in the Play Store App info settings page.
Step 19: Open Google Play Store App. After opening, do not start updating Apps directly otherwise it won’t work.
Step 20: Let the Play Store App load the Apps. So when you open it then scroll down a little to let Play Store load Apps.
Step 21: Close the Google Play Store App and Re-open the Play Store App.
Step 22: After opening the Play Store App for the second time, try updating Apps, and it should now be able to update Play Store Apps.
I have personally tested this method works like a charm. So yours should also work with this method.
( Optional/Additional Step): If you can’t download or update Google Play Services from Google Play Store, then download Play Services from APKMirror with this link. Then follow step 18, which is to Clear Data of Google Play Store, and, then again, follow steps from 19 to 22.
Note: Always Restart or Reboot your device once a day. This will increase the probability of working.
2. Can’t download Apps from Play Store: Play Store waiting for download

If you can not download Apps from Google Play Store or your Play Store waiting for download, then do a Clear Cache of Google Play Store and Play Services from App info settings.
If the problem persists, then follow the steps below:
Step 1: Update the Google Play Services from Play Store or using Play Services.
Step 2: Then Force Stop and Clear Cache of Google Play Store after updating Google Play Services.
Step 3: Open the Google Play Store and let the Play Store load Apps.
Step 4: Close the Play Store App, then relaunch the Play Store after closing it.
Step 5: Now try Downloading Apps from Google Play Store, and it should work fine.
You can download or update Play Services from APKMirror if you are unable to update it from Play Store. Then follow Steps from 1 to 5.
Note: Always Restart or Reboot your device once a day. This will increase the probability of working.
3. Google Play Store has Stopped working or Google Play Store Crashing
If your Google Play Store Crashing or it shows a message Play Store has stopped working then you need to Clear Play Store App Data and Try opening the Play Store again.
Step 1: Tap and hold on to the Play Store icon on the home screen.
Step 2: Click on the ( i ) button or App info. You will be navigated to Google Play Store App information settings.
Step 3: Inside Google Play Store App information settings, Click on ‘Force Stop’.
Step 4: Then Click on Storage Cache or Storage and Data.
Step 5: Inside Storage and Cache, Tap Clear Data or Manage Data, and A confirmation pop-up will appear, then click OK to confirm.
Step 6: Reboot the device to increase the probability of a fix.
Step 7: After Rebooting the device, Open Google Play Store, and it should work fine. If not, then download and update Google Play Store from APKMirror.
How to update Google Play Store?

Step 1: Download Google Play Store from APKMirror using this link.
How to download Google Play Store from APKMirror?
- Sub – Step 1: Open Chrome or any Web Browser on your Android device.
- Sub – Step 2: Inside the Web Browser, Tap on the Search bar and type Google Play Store APKMirror and Go or Enter.
- Sub – Step 3: Click on the first link that refers to the APKMirror website for Google Play Store App.
- Sub – Step 4: Scroll down a little and you should see all versions of Google Play Store. Click on the download icon that is on the top of All versions of Google Play Store.
- Sub – Step 5: Click on the download icon on the latest version that says “Universal” or if you know your device architecture then download according to the device architecture. Don’t forget your Android version that is mentioned there. Usually Android version 5.0+ is best suitable if you are not using a very old from 2014 or 2015.
- Sub – Step 6: When you select and click on download icon or file name, a new download page will load. While loading a new download page an Advertisement will pop up, click on ‘Close’ to close the Advertisement and load the Download page. If the Advertisement doesn’t appear then you are good to go.
- Sub – Step 7: On the new Download page of Google Play Store, you should see a Download button that says ” DOWNLOAD APK BUNDLE ” or ” DOWNLOAD APK “. Click on the download button to download Google Play Store file.
- Sub – Step 8: After that, a new confirmation pop will appear by the Web Browser that will ask you to download the file. Tap on Download to download the file.
If you are unsure which file to download, you can always choose the Universal version and click on it Download, or click the download icon in the Universal Architecture column.

If you want then you can manually download the APKMirror Installer file from the APKMirror website. Go to Google and Type APKMirror Installer and from the search results, visit the APKMirror website and download the Installer from three.
Step 2: After downloading Google Play Store, Install it from File Manager or Web Browser Downloads Manager.
Step 3: After updating the Google Play Store, Clear the Data of the App.
Step 4: Reboot the device for a better probability of the fix.
Step 5: After device Reboot, Open Google Play Store, and it should now be working fine.
How to update Google Play Services in Android 2021
Step 1: Open any Web Browser, for example, Chrome or Brave.
Step 2: Inside Chrome, tap on the search bar and type “Play Services info Apkmirror” and enter or click on Go.
Step 3: In Google search results, tap on the first APKMirror link that takes you to the APKMirror website.
Step 4: Inside the APKMirror website, scroll down a little and click on the Download icon of the first Play Services info link in the table of all versions list.
Step 5: When you click on download, an AD tab appears. So click on ‘CLOSE’ to get to the next page of downloading Play Services info.
Step 6: On the next download page, Scroll down a little until you find “See Available Downloads” and then scroll down a little again until you see the Download section.
Step 7: Click on the Download icon beside Play Services App Architecture and Version information.
Step 8: Now, you will get to the last and final download page of Play Services info. On the final download page, click on “DOWNLOAD” to start to download the Play Services info App.
Step 9: Now, your download pop-up will ask you to save the file. So click on “download” to download Play Services Info App if a Download Prompt appears.
This was the download part. Now, let’s see how you can install and update the Play Services App using the Play Services info App.
Step 10: After Play Services info APK downloads, Navigate to File Manager and Install the App from Downloaded location.
Step 11: After downloading the Play Services info App installation, Open the App.
Step 12: After opening the Play Services info App, Click on “PlayStore” inside the Play Services info App to update Google Play Services from Google Play Store.
Step 13: After tapping on Play Store, it will navigate to Google Play Services inside Google Play Store. Click on “Update” to update Google Play Services.
If Play Store is unable to update Google Play Services, then follow along the process below. If updating the Google Play Services, then Reboot or Restart the device.
Step 14: Open any Web Browser, for example, Chrome or Brave.
Step 15: Inside Chrome Browser, tap on the search bar, type “Google Play Services Apkmirror”, and click on enter or Go to search.
Step 16: Click on the first link in Google Search Results that refers to the APKMirror website.
Step 17: Inside the APKMirror website, Scroll down a little and click the download icon of the first Google Play Services in All Version Table.
Step 18: Now, you will get to the next download page. Scroll down a little and choose the App package according to your device Architecture and download it.
If your device is ARM64 v8a, then download that architecture version. If the Google Play Services package architecture mismatches with Device Architecture, then it won’t install.
However, If your device is ARM64 v8a, then it will support and below that architecture, but not above that architecture. So keep that in mind. If you don’t know how to check device Architecture, check this article below to know your device specs and architecture.
Step 19: Now download the Google Play Services package for your compatible device. For example, ARM64 v8a + Armeabi v7a supports both ARM64 v8a and v7a.
Step 20: After clicking on the download icon of Google Play Services beside package architecture information, you will get to the final download page.
Step 21: On the final download page, scroll down a little and click on “DOWNLOAD” to download the Google Play Services APK file. The download will start shortly.
Step 22: If a download Prompt appears, click on ‘Download’ to download the file. If it says any Warning like “This file can harm your device” then click “OK” to confirm the Alert.
Step 23: After downloading the Google Play Services file, navigate to File Manager and install the Google Play Services APK file from the download location.
Step 24: After installation of Google Play Services, Clear the cache of Play Services from System Settings > App and Notification > All Apps > (Click on three dots on the top right corner and SHOW System Apps) > Google Play Services > Force Stop and Clear Data of the App.
Step 25: After Clearing Data of Google Play Services, Reboot or Restart the device.
Step 26: After Restarting the device, Open Google Play Store.
Step 27: After Opening Google Play Store, Let it browse some Apps and Files inside the store and scroll down a little to the close Google Play Store.
Step 28: After closing the Play Store app, now re-open Google Play Store again. Now you should be able to update other apps and install Apps and games as well.
4. Google Play No internet connection
So if you are facing Google Play Store with no internet connection on your device, you might need to Clear the Cache of Google Play Store and Google Play Services then Reboot the device.
Step 1: After Restarting the device, Open Google Play Store.
Step 2: After Opening Google Play Store, Let it browse some Apps and Files inside the store and scroll down a little to the close Google Play Store.
Step 3: After closing the Play Store app, now re-open Google Play Store again. Now you should be able to update other apps and install Apps and games as well.
Now you should have Google Play Store with an internet connection. If not, there might be a bug with your Android software.
5. Google Play Store Not working on Mobile Data or Google Play Store Not working on WiFi.
If you are having issues like Google Play Store not working on Mobile Data, or Google Play Store not working on WiFi then the fix is very easy.
To fix this issue, turn on Aeroplane mode and then turn off and, after that, restart the device.
For WiFi Router, Turn OFF and then again Turn ON WiFi and restart your Android mobile device as well.
Now Google Play Store and Play Services should be working fine.
6. Google Play services not responding
If your Google Play Services not responding, then you have to uninstall and reinstall them. Follow the procedure below to go with the process.
How to Uninstall Google Play Services on Android.
Step 1: Go to System Settings.
Step 2: In System Settings, Navigate to Apps and Notifications on Android 11 and below or Apps in Android 12.
Step 3: Inside Apps and Notifications or in Apps. Click on See all Apps or All Apps.
Step 4: In All Apps, Tap on three dots on the top right corner and Choose & Click on Show System.
Step 5: After enabling Show System Apps, Click the Search option beside the three dots if available and if not, then manually find and navigate to Play Services App.
In the search bar, type “play” if the search is available, and Play Services should appear and tap on it. If not, then Scroll and search for Play Services.
Step 6: After clicking on Google Play Services, Tap on ‘Force Stop’. After Force Stop, Tap on Storage and Data or Storage and Cache. Inside Storage and Data, Tap on Clear Data.
Step 7: After Clearing Data of Google Play Services, Go back to App Information settings of Google Play Services.
Step 8: In-App information of Google Play Services, scroll down to last and look for App details if available for your Android Version.
Step 9: Tap on ‘App Details’ in Google Play Services App information settings.
Step 10: After tapping on ‘App Details’, it will navigate you to Google Play Store. Here the Google Play Store will give you the option to ‘Uninstall’ Google Play Services.
Step 11: Click on ‘Uninstall’ to uninstall the Google Play Services.
Now you have successfully uninstalled the Google Play Services from your Android device.
Step 12: Now, here comes the final Step. Restart or Reboot your device.
Now you have uninstalled the Google Play Services from Android. It’s time to reinstall the Google Play Services to your Android device to make the Play Store work better.
If you don’t have the ‘App detail’ option in your Android device, then you have to use the Google Play Services info APP to navigate to Google Play Services inside Play Store to UNINSTALL the Play Services.

How to Install Google Play Services on Android.
To install Google Play Services on Android is very simple. For lazy people, I will directly give you a download link of Google Play Services rather than following the extra steps. Follow the steps below for Google Play Services installation.
Step 1: Open System Settings.
Step 2: Navigate to Apps and Notifications or Apps in Android 12.
Step 3: Tap on ‘See All Apps’ or ‘All Apps’ to get all Android Apps installed on your device.
Step 4: Tap on three dots on the top right corner and choose ‘Show System’ to show all Apps.
Step 5: Tap on Search besides the three dots and type “Play” in the search bar.
Step 6: You should see Google Play Services App. Tap on it.
Step 7: Inside Google Play Services App information settings, scroll down to last and tap on ‘App Detail’.
If it’s not present on your Android device, use this Google Play Store link to download and Install Google Play Services to your Android device.
You can also use APKMirror alternative link to download Google Play Services for some reason if your Google Play Store not working.
Step 8: To download Google Play Services from APKMirror, use the link to navigate to that website, then Scroll down a little until you see the ‘All Version’ Table list of Google Play Services.
Step 9: Click on the Download icon next to the name of the first Google Play Services.
Step 10: After that, it will navigate you to the next Download page. If an AD appears, tap on close to close the AD and move on to the next download page.
Step 11: On the next page of Download, Scroll down a little and choose a package compatible with your device architecture. For example, ARM v8a. If you want to know your device architecture, check the related article to find out how.

Step 12: Click on the Download icon next to the device architecture to information.
Step 13: Now, it will navigate to the final download page. Scroll down and click on ‘DOWNLOAD’ to start downloading the APK.
Step 14: A Download dialogue box will appear, click on ‘Download’ to download the App. If the download pop-up gives you any warning like ‘this file can harm your device’, click on ‘OK’ to proceed with the warning.
Step 15: After downloading the Google Play Services APK file, Go to File Manager and install it from the Downloaded location.
Step 16: After Google Play Services installation, Reboot or Restart the device.
Step 17: Open Google Play Store and Browse a little and scroll down a little, then close it.
Step 18: After closing Google Play Store, Open Google Play Store again. Now you can download your Apps from Play Store, and your Google Play Services not responding should be gone.
